Experience the Wine of Bordeaux
If you would like to discover the world-class wines of Bordeaux, come and stay at Chateau Lagorse to experience the wines from some of the most famous vineyards in the world, on our doorstep in Bordeaux.
Our wine tasting weekends are for the beginner through to wine enthusiast: everything is catered for leaving you to taste, feast and experience this bountiful area of France.

We are going to be holding a Gourmet Antiquing 4 or 5 night stay in Early May and visiting the Huge Bordeaux antique fair, along with plenty of the usual gourmet wine weekend events.

To perfectly pair with...
France is well known for its culinary delights, and here you will feast with us pairing amazing Bordeaux wines with cuisine to match in the splendid setting here at Chateau Lagorce.
​
We will also visit a selected gastronomic restaurant on the way to a St Emilion winery for a high-end wine tasting with time to peruse and explore the UNESCO world heritage site.
A typical weekends timetable:-
Arrival on Friday

You will have time to settle into your suite in the Chateau before the evening champagne reception.
Meet your hosts and fellow guests over a mouthwatering grazing table with local fine meats, cheeses and accompaniments served with champagne on the top terrace.
Saturday:
Breakfast will be served from 9-10am, followed by time to discover Chateau Lagorce and the stunning grounds.
11.30 am we set off for a meal at a gastronomic restaurant on the way to St Emilion
Then we have a wine tasting in St Emilion and time for you to explore the beautiful town.
Back at the Chateau, a Champagne reception with fine dining in the stylish panelled Louis XIV style Dining Room
Sunday:-
Breakfast will be once again served from 9-10am, followed by free time at the chateau.
Grazing table lunch in the fascinating Chateau's caves with wine tastings - Edd's choices of wines and exploration of wine process, both historically and at Lagorce.

The evening's festivities will include a BBQ on the top terrace with wine and beer.
Monday:-

After breakfast, it is time to bid you farewell and leave for the Airport.

Meet Edd
Edd is our resident wine expert; after moving to France in 2005 he got to know the Bordeaux wine areas/ classifications and quickly learnt the difference between good and bad budget wines.
In 2006 he started importing wine into the uk for the trade. By 2009 word had spread and China was ordering containers of his selections. In the same year Edd was exporting pallets of high end wine to Canada, who’s love of Bordeaux wines grew until 2016 when 20 foot container were needed.
Since then and the arrival of little-ones Edd turned his attention to helping Anna with weddings at Lagorce whilst still dabbling in higher end wines for weddings and wine tastings at the Chateau.
